The selling agent was texting the listing agent and demanding the seller sign the paperwork of the already accepted transaction???? What accepted transaction?? According to the selling agent all those texts that were sent to the listing agent created a binding contract!! Wow!
Agents need to take the time to educate their clients to verify any and all requests for funds with a phone call to the appropriate party and they need to repeat the instruction several times during the course of the transaction. In this case, the elderly buyers called their son and the whole affair unraveled.
A Managing Broker license sets an agent apart as someone who took the time to learn more about their industry. If getting designations such as ABR, SRES, CRS, etc., is part of your long term goals, consider adding a Managing Brokers license to that list.
