Once again I heard an agent complain about the lack of integrity and professionalism in the real estate industry and ‘why doesn’t the DOL (Dept of Licensing) do something about it?”.

So I asked my usual question, “Did you file a complaint with the DOL?”.  Well, of course they didn’t.  Somehow the DOL is just supposed to ‘know’.

So the next time you see an agent breaking laws let the DOL know.  If you hear of a Real Estate School not teaching a course correctly (like teaching one chapter and ignoring the rest of the curriculum) or letting students claim 4 hours of class time when they were only there for 2 hours let the DOL know.

The DOL can’t discipline someone if they don’t know a) who it is or b) what they did wrong.
